Celebrational Success with Norfolk Community College

March 27, 2023

The Norfolk Community College Project, led by East Coast College, is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities scheme; helping unemployed adults in Norfolk back into training and employment. The additional funding has helped the project continue until June 2023, enabling it to provide continuing support to communities throughout Norfolk.

With the project coming to an end after seven years, staff have come together to organise an awards ceremony aimed to showcase the impact and commemorate the achievements of the staff, the people it has helped and the organisations who contributed to the success of the project. The event took place on March 24th between 1pm and 4pm.

Guests were treated to a wide selection of food as they were given an informal outlook on the project’s impact towards communities and internal and external organisations, a guide of the successes that have been achieved since the project’s launch through a timeline, and even previous participants and project partner/provider organisation leads sharing their experiences through an emotional video made by Play It Again Productions.

Also attending on the day included organisations and their leaders. Some of these included the project’s main delivery partner and provider organisations Access Community Trust, ACE Training, DIAL, Future Projects and Voluntary Norfolk, who have worked alongside East Coast College to offer assistance for adults across Norfolk, as well as Sue Orminston, EU Programme Manager at the National Lottery Community Fund to give audiences an overview of the Building Better Opportunities scheme.
