What’s on

Every month across Norfolk we run training courses and workshops to serve and support a whole variety of people with different learning goals. The Norfolk Community College is committed to providing high quality training that reflects the requirements of employers and the ambitions of participants. By developing a range of ‘Intro’ taster sessions in areas such as Volunteering and Care, we can help you build new skills and learn about your strengths to achieve your employment goals and aspirations.  We also offer a range of key employability courses, delivering sessions that improves your Maths, English and IT skills.

Confidence and self- esteem and Interview skills training days. These sessions include-

  • Learning the differences between confidence and self- esteem and how that can affect you.
  • Talking about what can cause low confidence.
  • Discussing Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
  • Looking at how we can improve our self esteem.


  • Preparing for interviews.
  • Non verbal communication.
  • Examples of competency based interview questions.
  • Overcoming interview nerves.


The next training dates are-

Thursday 23rd November at Diss Youth and Community Centre 09.30- 03.30

Tuesday 5th December at The Priory Centre, Great Yarmouth 10- 12. (Confidence and self-esteem only)

Monday 11th December at Baseline in Norwich 09.30- 3.30 this is then followed up by a mock interview day on Monday 18th December.

Thursday 14th December at The Crossing, Thetford 10-12. (Confidence and self-esteem only)

Thursday 20th December at Fakenham Community Centre 09.30- 3.30.

Thursday 21st December at East Coast College 1.00- 3.00pm. (Interview Skills only)

All our training is free for our participants.

Great Yarmouth Jobs Fair 23/1/18 10:00 to 14:00

Norfolk Community College project, in partnership with Great Yarmouth Jobcentre Plus, will be holding the recruitment event in the Assembly Room at the Great Yarmouth Town Hall.

More than 40 employers with over 1,000 jobs on offer will be coming to the event in the hope of finding people ready to take up employment opportunities with them.
