Workshops

Every month across Norfolk we run training courses and workshops to serve and support a whole variety of people with different learning goals. The Norfolk Community College is committed to providing high quality training that reflects the requirements of employers and the ambitions of participants. By developing a range of ‘Intro’ taster sessions in areas such as volunteering and care, we can help you build new skills and learn about your strengths to achieve your employment goals and aspirations.  We also offer a range of key employability courses, delivering sessions that improves your Maths, English and IT skills.

The project has the following opportunities and events available;

I can’t believe it’s not a job club – If you are looking for an informal chat to help you to build confidence and get yourself ready to start looking for jobs and creating a cv.

Our aim is to support people whoa re furthest from the job market, to develop their skills in a small and friendly environment to help the, to get a step closer to the labour market!

Sessions are designed for participants to improve their confidence, work on their strengths and weaknesses, look at their transferable skills, build up a CV, attend a mock interview but also have a better understanding of body language / non-verbal communication and comfort zone.

We have sessions running at The Priory Plain on the following dates:

Every Tuesday 2pm – 3pm

For any queries feel free to drop in at the Priory Centre on Tuesdays between 2pm and 3pm.

 

 

Confidence, Self- esteem and Interview skills training days.

These sessions include-

– Learning the differences between confidence and self- esteem and how that can affect you.

-Talking about what can cause low confidence.

-Discussing Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

-Looking at how we can improve our self esteem.

-Preparing for interviews.

-Non verbal communication.

-Examples of competency based interview questions.

-Overcoming interview nerves.
