Round 4 of the DPS is now open!

November 14, 2017

Round 4 (the selection stage) of the DPS is now open and you can submit an application at any time until noon on 15 December 2017. At that point we will close Round 4 and evaluate all the applications received and those qualifying will be placed on the DPS.

The project has already identified a range of main delivery partners, who will provide employability and advice services from hubs across Norfolk. The project now aims to engage a range of providers, including micro groups from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector, in recognition of their skills in reaching out to people who are often below the radar of mainstream services. This specialist support will form part of the Norfolk Community College and will be procured by way of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).

Once you have been successfully admitted to the DPS, quotations for specific contracts can then be invited exclusively from all the providers admitted to the Lot for which the services are required and providers may choose whether to compete for these further competitions advertised through the DPS.  The Steering Group Committee have released two specification so far, inviting providers to apply for contracts to deliver confidence building activities to parents and people experiencing mental ill health who encounter barriers to participating in the Norfolk Community College project.  The Steering Group meet on a regular basis and will release further specifications for providers to apply for.

Between now and December 2019 up to £225,000 will be invested in community-led specialist provision, to support projects that improve confidence, develop skills and create jobs for people who are long term unemployed or economically inactive through the DPS.

The DPS is aimed at both small and large providers.  Some requirements will be focussed at a neighbourhood or district level; other requirements will be county-wide. The selection process will prompt you to choose a delivery focus, either neighbourhood and district (most likely aimed at smaller providers) or multiple district and county-wide (most likely aimed at larger providers).
