Norfolk Community College Launches in the West

September 7, 2017

Community events do not come much better than this. On Sunday the 3rd of September 2017 Norfolk Community College joined the Charles Burrell Centre on its open day. The annual open day provides local residents with the opportunity to see what the organisations operate from the centre and learn about the programmes available to the community. Sam Enefola and Don Smith, Skills Connectors from Access Community Trust were on hand to answer any queries and discuss how the Norfolk Community College programme is helping people develop their skills and return to work. It was also a great opportunity to develop links with local services, with the Thetford Citizens Advice Bureau, Friends of Thetford Forest, The Garage and The Polish Language School in attendance discussing their services with local people. With over 500 members of the public attending the event, a busy day was had by all!
Don Smith said “The whole day was a chance to meet the community and find out more about the organisations in the building, we will make it a regular event on the calendar”
If you have any questions about the Norfolk Community College’s or would like to discuss training, employment or work placements available through the programme, just give us a call on 01493 419255 as we’d love to chat with you.
