The Norfolk Community College Project – and one of our core partners Future Projects – are recruiting for the following positions:

Post 1: Life Connector

Location: Various locations around North Norfolk

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Salary and Benefits: £21,500 per annum

Future Projects is recruiting for a Life Connector to work as part of the Loneliness and Social Isolation programme in the North Norfolk CCG area. The post holder will be responsible for engaging with a range of vulnerable people to help reduce levels of loneliness and/or social isolation by introducing them to community-based services and support, increasing their social participation, and improving their overall wellbeing.

The Life Connector will be working with a range of vulnerable people who are chronically lonely or isolated and who may face more complicated life challenges, assessing their support needs, and helping to remove any barriers that prevent the individual from addressing their isolation, and working with partner agencies to provide a package of person-centred support. Depending on the goals and needs of the individual, this may include:

  • Introducing them to local activities and services that are relevant to them
  • Assisting them to build new friendships and community links which may ultimately allow them to contribute themselves
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to help people to gain the knowledge, skills, tools, and confidence so that they can overcome their personal challenges and reach self-identified goals
  • Referring them to services that can assist in reducing their isolation, such community transport schemes, lunch and social clubs, and other activities

Post 2: European Social Fund Project Manager

Location: Future Projects Norwich/Countywide

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Salary and Benefits: £27,500 per annum

The ESF Project Manager will take responsibility for Future Projects’ role in the delivery of the Norfolk Community College project; line managing staff, monitoring and directing delivery, completing monitoring and reporting requirements, and ensuring overall compliance with all aspects of European Social Funding.

The ESF Project Manager will bring strong management skills to the project along with experience of working with a range of vulnerable people who face more complicated life challenges. The ESF Project Manager will have experience managing teams that provide support planning, advice, advocacy and practical help to participants in a personalised way and will take overall responsibility for Future Projects’ role in helping service users into employment, education and training opportunities.
